Matt Milano
Tech Journalist & Software Developer
I’ve spent the better part of two decades writing about technology, privacy, and the ways they intersect with everyday life. For the last six years, I’ve served as the editorial lead at WebProNews, covering everything from cybersecurity and data privacy to the Linux desktop and the business of Big Tech.
Before journalism took over, I built software—including HOU-IP, a Hubble Telescope image analysis tool used by UC Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science. These days, I’m back to building things with Indomitus Group, a small software studio focused on privacy-first Linux applications.
I live in Georgetown, Kentucky, where I occasionally step away from the keyboard to think about bourbon, backpacking, vintage appliances, and whether my home renovation projects will ever actually be finished.
